Why your anime eyes suck so much?
Take a look at what you've done. You're proud of it, really, but you can do much better: Your character looks sick. Let's treat him.

You miss everything about anime face proportion.
The gap between the eyes is supposed to be one eye wide. The line on which the eyes are located must pass through the middle of the head.
You like to fall into all the traps of unsound design.
Your character's eyes are clearly not on the same line. This is a frontal view, but the face does not appear to be symmetrical. The lower part of the head, from the chin to the base of the nose, exceeds a third of the entire head.
you draw without understanding the depth of your eyes.
The eyes are flat. I really hope it was a botched drawing and not a successful portrait. Now let's understand what makes the difference between your ‘art’ and the art of the best mangaka the world has ever known.

Most beautiful anime eyes drawing.
Starting with animals' eyes ?
I can't introduce you to someone as influential as Osamu Tezuka. We're talking about the guy who invented the modern manga here! He's the one who came up with shoujo, shounen.
One of the coolest things about Osamu's job was sketching eyes. It was the secret ingredient for creating engaging stories, and evoking emotion.

He was hooked on Disney's first animations when he was younger.
One thing that really stands out in every Disney's character design is how much emphasis is placed on the eyes. The more important the character is for the story, the bigger his eyes are.
So, originally, anime eyes were inspired by the eyes of animals (ducks, dingoes, cats, mice, etc.).
All this is to give a word of advice: Don't restrict your choice of references, use whatever you like!
Most captivating eyes in shoujo styles
The term "shoujo" refers to manga aimed at young teenage girls, usually aged 8 to 18. It often uses some familiar visual styles, a female-associated color palette, round lines, sparkling eyes, flourishes, etc.
Enjoy this selection of the best eyes designs. Try to recognize the recurring elements.

One circle for the pupil (all black)

One last circle for light

We tie them together, one on top of the other :

The final step is to erase the parts of the circles that fall outside the eye shape. And you're done!
